There are many ways to change difficult situations in our lives and one of them is by PRAISE. Praising God is not reserved for when everything is rosy or when you are in church. It can be a lifestyle: at work, at school, at home and in the shower. You don’t need to have the voice of an angel to praise God. Just a willing and grateful heart is all He wants. Praising God with a revelation of who He is and what He is able to do can change the quality of your praise offering, not necessarily your voice. Psalm 34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise will be in my mouth continuously.
David wasn’t a soldier before he killed Goliath. You don’t need an army of a choir or a melodious voice to knock down your giants, just a well-aimed scripture backed up with a shout of praise. Praise is an expression of faith; it’s a declaration that God is in control. Praise brings God’s presence, that comes with miracles. When He comes everything that is not of Him leaves.
In the old testament when Judah was in trouble, King Jehoshaphat sent the choir ahead of the soldiers to praise God. It was an awkward strategy. Sending choristers to battle is crazy but sending them ahead of the soldiers is the height of craziness. I wonder how foolish and clueless the opposition would think the King was. But it worked. The Lord came down as He said He would in Psalm 22:3 and set ambushes against the enemies of Judah. (2 Chronicles 20:22).
When you praise God even in the trenches, He is always moved to change the situations for your good so you could praise Him more. A praise-filled environment stops the works of darkness because of God ‘lives’ in that kind of atmosphere.
No matter the situation you are in praise God with all your heart, praise Him with a mindset on who He is and watch God give you a testimony to praise Him more.
God bless you.
